Tangy Syrup Melon and Strawberries

Servings : 4
Preparaion Time : 5 minutes
Cooking Time : 8 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 1 melon cut into wide slices
- 3/4 cup or 125 g of strawberries cut in half
For the syrup :
- 1/2 cup or 10 cl water
- 4 tbsp or 60 g powdered sugar
- 10 thin slices of fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp chopped lemongrass
- 1 tbsp lime juice
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a saucepan on the griddle, bring the water to a boil with sugar, ginger, lemongrass and lime juice and boil for 5 mns.
- On the griddle over high heat, brown the melon slices for about 1 mn on each side.
- Arrange them on the plates, divide the strawberries and pour the syrup over the fruits.
TIPS
You can add some ground pepper to enhance the melon's taste.
